Without “IT”

We KNOW, but are silenced without 'IT'

IT - can stand for a multitude of things. It is 'A' word to describe: E.G. the KEY ingredient in OUR lives... Or even, OUR missing link.

It took millions of years to invent 'IT' - in the form of the Inter-networking Technology which can enable us ALL to connect together as ONE.

Unfortunately, until now, the connection has been limited to those who can afford THE (or any) technology - and, as things stand currently, this is the top 20% - 30% of 'humanity' - the same proportion which have raced ahead through the industrial revolution, and polluted the world, to the detriment of the majority without 'IT'.

The invention of internet technology, has moved people from the limits of public libraries and expensive education, and allowed the freedom of knowledge along any parameters we care to search through, albeit time dependant.

As individuals of conscience, this has allowed us to enter the world of others who are suffering ALL over this world... or at least, those of US who HAVE got conscience and care to look, and see those charitable causes which have been able to promote themselves, or be picked up by others.

The way the internet currently works, provides "TOP" rankings (still) for the largest amongst us, and even open-sourced formats are limited to those with specific understanding of morse-code-computer.

For example, if your website doesn't look professional, or you can't find the 'right' words, you stand NO chance of being heard, listened to, or even respected.

The BIG field players, have teams of specialists, who work for money to improve that companies profile.

The SMALL field players, are trying to set up a humanitarian/ethical and/or environmental/ecological organisational trading post (or internet connection/s) WITHOUT any money - often after working full-time in 'other' employment.

The MINUTE field players, are not even able to play, because they have been denied the right to any of 'IT' through their 'own' demography.  

I remember listening to a reporter on BBC Radio 4 one day, expressing his fear when confronted by a child with a machine gun.  He succinctly put it that "all that child had, was his name... and because it was his, he changed it whenever he wanted to".

The reporter went on to explain that that child had been given food and drugs by an 'army', was in a 'high' state of anxiety, and was looking at the reporter deciding whether to kill him because, as far as he knew, there was NO good people in this world - outside those who had given him food and a gun...

How that reporter managed to explain that he was there to 'help' that child, I do not know, but he was lucky to be alive - they both were.

A photographer took a photograph of a young child, crawling his long and agonising journey to either his death, or an aid camp in Africa - depending on which came first. There were two vultures following that small child's long, slow, and immensely painful journey. (His parents had both died en route.)

I read that three months later, the photographer committed suicide, he had been so effected by THE moment.

Those WHO care - simply DO - regardless of their 'size' - give them access to the internet, and they will do their own research in order to satisfy their 'thirst' for knowledge.

Without knowledge, we have NO wisdom - and without wisdom and 'A' conscience - are WE not DEAD?

Certainly, without access to 'IT', we have a very limited view of this world - there is still NO main broadcasting channel dedicated to 'IT' (environmental-ethical causes and solutions).

As An Earth Mother, I am forced to watch 24,000 little children DIE every single day, without being given the opportunity I need to help them all.  (How can ONE single parent provide a doorway to ALL, which is so incredibly obvious to HER? - Why didn't they simply add an access point to SUPPORT the (ALL) poor & re-plenish THIS world, for the greater good of us ALL?)

How much do search engine servers cost? - Why is IT all for commercial gain - and not for the gain, of "IT" (us) ALL? (IT could be a social collective, an enviro-ethical DIRECTORY - opening up OUR potential REGENERATION.)

Ultimately, it is not just about whether YOU care, but what you do to help others 'WHO' do too. (N.B. 'Horton Hears A WHO' - Horton is a very BIG elephant, with very BIG ears, and is able to hear the minute people, WHO are so small that they live on dust. I will refer to this film in separate blogs, but use regularly as an analogy when twittering!)

IT = Internet Technology

IT = Intermediate Technology

IT = "THE" problems:

Sustainability: 1.2 worlds consumed annually; Reap Report SEI. 

Waste: Over half the food produced across this planet is wasted; Dr. Charlotte de Fraiture, a researcher at IWMI.  (Wasting also ALL the water which was used to irrigate the lost harvest.)

Poverty & Exclusion: Almost half the world — over three billion people — live on less than $2.50 a day; www.globalissues.org 'Poverty Facts & Stats'

Climate Change: Although the emissions of all ODS are now covered through the Montreal Protocol treaty, September 2007, the introduced reductions still allow for a growth in emissions from 0.4 billion tonnes in 2002 to 1.2 billion tonnes in 2015. http://www.eia-international.com - whose undercover investigations have proven an illegal trade in chlorofluorocarbons, CFC’s. (In contravention to the 1987 Montreal Protocol treaty.) - Not forgetting the melting of arctic ice, rising sea levels and altered loadings on tectonic plates, resulting in increased seismic activity - etc.

IT - THE Solutions:

Organic - farming (zero chemicals)

Natural - housing (zero carbon)

Healing - people and planet (Regeneration)

Earth - OUR garden IS capable of supporting far more people - IF the 41% dehydrated & degenerated land of its surface 'skin' is 'moisturised' 

(Permaculture works with nature to heal nature and nurture, and IS re-greening the desert, plus offers a range inclusive, consensual and practical solutions.) 

What would appear to be lacking, still, is the recognition that providing a directory of "Social Conscience" - "Ethical&Environmental" as a commercial search engine - AND providing 'IT' for everyone (education/information/communication) "IS" THE solution, as, if run consensually, IT would join up all the dots through the re-distribution of all net profits - effectively creating a "net-profit-4-non-profit" situation, where everyone who cares, wins!
